The issuance of a Tax ID as per the new directive to overhaul the tax system in Ethiopia requiers Tax Payers appear in person to give their finger prints and the deadline to do so was July 7/2010. However, pertinent to the request of business owners in the diaspora, the authority has extended the deadline upto December 8/2010 (Tahsas 30/2003).

Addis Ababa, January 13, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Gilegel Gibe II Hydro Power Project constructed at a point 250 kms south west of the capital at over 5.2 Billion Birr was inaugurated on Wednesday in the presence of top government officials and resident ambassadors. Addis Ababa, December 29 (WIC) – The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) said efforts are being made to earn more than 892 million USD from coffee export this budget year. More than 38 million USD of the fund will be used to expand electricity in Afar region while the balance will be spent on construction of the stated road, According to a statement the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development sent to ENA later on Monday.
