Addis Ababa, February 16, 2006 - Middle East Times reported from London that a major UK retail chain Morrisons is soon to stock Ethiopian flowers - roses, carnations and the red-brown berried hyperacid. The report posted on the Meddle East Times website on Tuesday indicated that annual flower exports from Ethiopia currently stand at more than $20 million and are expected to reach $100 million by 2007. Addis Ababa, February 6, 2006 () - Country Director of the World Bank for Ethiopia and the Sudan said there has been accelerated development performance in Ethiopia over the past two years while economic growth has been about 10 per cent.

Nation secures over 3 billion birr from export 

The Ethiopian Customs Authority (ECA) said the nation has obtained over three billion birr from various export items in 2005.


NEBE Says Could Not Get Hand Over Power City Administration To Elected Deputies

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia said though it had called up on winning candidates to register and take over the Addis Ababa City Administration, the number of candidates so far registered could not enable them to form a government.
